Wiring of 10+ Materials with a bonus Free Style for additional credit.

If you plan to attend the Feb. 17 class (Rikka Shofutai & Rikka Shimputai), then this class is one you should also attend. It should be it mandatory!

In this class you will learn how to wire various materials either externally or internally as well as methods for internal or external wiring of materials.

• Galax or other small round leaf – butterfly technique
• Mini calla – internal
• Veronica – how to make it straight
• Sunflower or gerbera – internal
• Foxtail fern – how to wire them for do or maeoki
• Boston fern – external but tricky
• Button mums – internal and external
• Lily – external and tricky
• Pittosporum or other woody material – external
• Cattail leaves – internal and external
• Bull rush – internal

Please bring:

• Your wire, tape, wire cutters, and pinchers/pliers. You really must have all of these. I will not have extra wire, tape or cutters at this lesson unless you pre-ordered it at least one week in advance. I don’t have pliers for sale.

Some materials will be pre-assigned. Stay tuned!

• Bonus Arrangement/Credit – Any freestyle container of your choice. You will get one credit for this class; but if you make a freestyle design using the materials we wired- you can get one more credit!

We arrive at 9:15 AM, set up for class and make any necessary ginza purchases. The lesson begins at 9: 30 AM and you are generally on your way home by about 3PM. Bring a lunch or snack to enjoy.

There will be a definitive break between the arrangements at about noon to allow everyone the opportunity to watch the critiques of all the arrangements and the chance to have a lunch break.

Please do not take your arrangement apart until all arrangements have been critiqued. If you need to leave before all arrangements have been critiqued, you will not get credit for the lesson. Plan your time accordingly.
