The Naples Chapter of Ikenobo was chartered as a chapter in 2001; before 2001 it was an organized study group for several years. Currently, the chapter has about 40 members. Dues for the chapter are $35 for students and $105 for Special Members. We offer approximately two lessons per month from November through April. The chapter also hosts two social events each year; a fall coffee and an annual luncheon to award certificates to students as they progress in their Ikenobo learning.
We have two highly qualified senseis (teachers) within our chapter teaching Ikenobo to our members, Stephanie English and Marcia Norberg as well as visiting professors from Ikenobo headquarters in Japan. Our lessons cost between $50 and $65 (Visiting Professor Workshops are $100) and we generally make two arrangements. We meet on Wednesdays at the Collier County Park District facility in the Vineyards community. We arrive at 11:15AM to set up and begin our lessons at 11:30AM. We enjoy a snack while we arrange and depart around 3PM.
We invite you to examine our lesson pages.
